James DeSarno        

Principal

James has been in the architecture, design/build, and construction industry for the past 18 years, working closely with firms such as Donnally Architects and Vandeventer + Callander Architects to develop successful projects.  At the core of his work is a belief that good design lies at the intersection of beauty and economy.  James is a D.C. native, a graduate of George Washington University's International Affairs program.

Sam Kraft

Principal

Sam was an elementary school teacher in New York City when he decided to go back to school for architecture.  He believes that similar to a well-run classroom, a successful architectural project is as much the result of clear communication and sharp organization as it is passion for the beauty and ideas.  He teaches a large intro to architecture course in the UW Department of Architecture and is an active volunteer in his community. Sam studied history at Bard College and holds a Master of Teaching from Pace University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Washington.
